• The Centre for Internal Security Analysis (CISA) is the flagship public policy and research centre of TEWAG FOUNDATION, a not-for-profit company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Section 8 companies are established to promote charitable and public-interest objectives such as education, research, science, social welfare and public policy. As a Section 8 company, TEWAG Foundation is prohibited from distributing profits or dividends to its members. Any surplus generated through grants, donations, research, training programmes or other lawful activities is reinvested exclusively towards advancing the Foundation's charitable objects and strengthening CISA's research, educational and public engagement initiatives.

• Operating as a dedicated research and educational institution under TEWAG FOUNDATION, CISA enjoys academic independence in determining its research priorities, publications and educational programmes while adhering to the governance framework established by the Foundation and applicable laws governing non-profit organisations in India.
